**Update: I put together a YouTube playlist of the song titles used. Here’s the list if you wish to listen: Heart Song
September 3, 2017
This week’s writers challenge was to write a poem using song titles. This was a definitely a challenge since I don’t have a particular style or genre of music. My music is an eclectic mix of everything.
Here is my entry.
Thanks for stopping by.
Heart Song by Suzanne Allen
Killing me softly with his song.
I will survive.
Silly love songs.
My eyes adored you,
Can’t take my eyes off of you,
You’re in my heart.
Don’t make my brown eyes blue.
Fooled around and fell in love.
Take a chance on me,
Hopelessly devoted to you,
Faithfully.
Swayin’ to the music
Le Freak,
Dancing Queen,
Eight days a week.
Peaceful Easy Feeling
Don’t stop believin’
I just want to be your everything.
Time after time,
Holding back the years,
Lookin’ for love.
No more tears.
Blinded by the light,
Bohemian Rhapsody,
I can see clearly now.
My heart belongs to me.
