These hands were never meant to be light, fragile and delicate.

These hands were always meant to be heavy, strong and coarse.

These hands reflect years of hard work in life and at play.

Her hands do not show the soft, gentle touch of her true nature.

These hands held the tiny fingers of new beings coming into the world.

These hands held the hands of others laughing, running, dancing and enjoying life.

These hands learned to create beautiful things.

These hands held the hands of those scared, crying, hurting or sick when others were afraid to do so.

These hands held the hands of others who were afraid and uncertain.

These hands learned how to be a soothing, healing, or sensual touch for others when needed.

These hands once wore a ring that was a vow of forever.

These hands held the hands of those drawing their last breaths in life.

Her hands do not reflect her strength and strong will.

These hands learned how to ball into fists to defend herself at an early age.

These hands learned how to use a weapon in the name of duty and defense to her country.

These hands became dirty, bruised and cut while providing a home for her family.

These hands signed the papers ending the vow of forever and changed her life.

These hands learned how to take care of herself.

Her hands are now free to be open to the rest of the world.
